Maintenance

After use, follow the instructions in the program and flush both syringes and the pump valves with DI water several times to ensure a long operating life of the unit. Since seawater is corrosive, clean the surface of your titrator with wet and dry tissues before storage or after a long period of use.

Storing the pH electrode

The pH electrode should be kept in an appropriate solution. The manufacturer documentation recommends the ROSSTM Storage Solution (Orion 810001). A pH 4 buffer works equally well for the purposes of conditioning the electrode and overnight storage.

Removing the syringe

If it is necessary to remove a syringe from the valve on the pump or to remove the plunger from the syringe, the pump needs to move the syringe part to make room for the syringe.

  1. Click the Remove Syringe button at the bottom right corner.

  2. Select the syringe to change.

  3. Follow the instructions in the message.

  4. Finish steps 1 and 2 and click OK.

  5. Unscrew the syringe from the valve or remove the plunger from the syringe.

  6. Replace the syringe or the plunger and secure the plunger onto the pump.

  7. Click Initialize to return the plunger to the home position.
